Michael Charles Schwerin is a partner and founding member of the Law Offices of Schwerin and Sumcad. He holds a degree in Accounting from University of Illinois, Champaign, and passed the Illinois Certified Public Accountant examination. Mr. Schwerin received his Juris Doctorate from Santa Clara University School of Law.
He is a member of the California State Bar, the Santa Clara County Bar Association, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Illinois CPA Society. Mr. Schwerin is a former Chair of the Santa Clara County Bar Association family law section.
Having practiced family law in San Jose, CA for almost 30 years, Mr. Schwerin has served as an expert witness, temporary judge, private judge, special master, mediator, discovery referee and arbitrator in family law cases. When he’s not practicing family law, Mr. Schwerin enjoys spending time on the golf course.
